Test kit 9 Gluten sensitivity/intolerance

Contains: sIgA (immune response), tissue transglutaminase (gluten intolerance), gliadin antibodies (gluten sensitivity).

This test combo will check out if the gluten in your diet is a problem for your body. In today’s food industry gluten is a staple product and used very frequently many people has problems such as:Chronic diarrhea, tiredness, weight loss, bloating, menstrual irregularities, nausea, vomiting, cramps and pain and IBS like symptoms, in children we also find growth disturbances, symptoms of ricked due to lack of Vitamin D & constipation in 15% of the cases. Atypical symptoms would be: Iron therapy resistance, dermatitis on the elbows and knees, bone ds, High amino-transferase (GOT, GPT), psychiatric problems, Alopecia (Holmes 1996; Barr and Graham 1998; Branski and Troncone 1998).Gluten sensitivity. Further in Diabetes mellitus patients a high prevalence has shown for coeliac ds and also a link between infertility and in miscarriage tendencies (Ciacci et al. 1996)

In the last few year a lot of research has been conducted in the area of gliadin induce disorders and the
clinical picture of gluten sensitivity has emerged. It differs from true celiac disease, since no Auto-Antibodies (transglutaminase) are produced. Gliadin antibodies are formed during an immune
response in the gut against the gluten (gliadin). This occurs at true celiac disease, but also in the clinical picture of gluten sensitivity. Only 30-40% of the patients with gluten sensitivity show an abdominal symptom picture with bloating, loss of appetite, irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal pain, constipation and flatulence. Alternating with complain such as burning tongue, general tiredness. The most common atypical presentation of gluten sensitivity starts with tiredness of unclear origin, anemia and can stretch to consequences due to autoimmune disease (e.g. thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis).

Please note: It is essential that prior to taking the gliadin antibody test and the celiacs disease, to be on
gluten contain diet. You need to regular eat daily with each meal including items that contain gluten for 2 weeks to avoid false negative results.

These cookies have a short lifetime and expire within a few minutes of the user leaving the site.

Other types of cookies can be used to track internet activity after the user has left a website. These are usually sponsored by organisations external to the website being visited and are generally known as ‘third party’ cookies. These usually have a long lifetime with several months being quite common. They are ‘harvested’ and ‘refreshed’ whenever the user visits a page where the same or a similar cookie is being used.

What does the practitioner get from BTS?

Once your patient’s sample has been received in the lab, a full analysis is prepared and the results are sent to the BTS-Ireland who will translate them into English. For example, the full fungal screening (candida and all other yeasts and moulds), will provide you with the stool-pH, a full count of all pathogenic fungi and an analysis for the representative protease to identify if the yeast strain is pathogenic (virulence test). As an additional service a mouth swab is investigated with the stool test free of charge. You will normally get all these details + individual therapy suggestions + diet + hygiene recommendations for your patient from BTS within a fortnight after arrival of the sample. As well as that you can ask any questions regards the test kit, results or therapy recommendations.
